what to expect on SUndays

Last updated on Wednesday 6 January 2021.

We meet every Sunday at 10am at The Studio, 2/85 Dunning Avenue Rosebery.

We want church to be a safe place for everyone.

Sundays will look and feel a little different compared to what it was like before COVID. We recognise some of us are feeling anxious and stressed by everything that is going on. Others are not so fussed about it. Let’s make every effort to show kindness to one another, be empathetic to each others’ feelings and be gentle with those who may respond differently from us. Also, as we gather in worship to God and connect with one another, let’s remember our purpose remains the same: to connect Jesus to every moment of every day.

General COVID Guidelines

While in the building, please observe the following -

  • Where reasonably practical, ensure a distance of 1.5 metres apart from each other at all times. Household groups and children are exempt.

  • Maintain a distance of 5 metres from singers or musicians playing wind instruments.

  • Observe the maximum capacity of persons per room limits as displayed at all room entrances.

  • Avoid sharing pens and bibles. Bring your own Bible. To minimise contact, we will not be distributing service outlines at this time.

  • We will not be serving morning tea. We encourage you to bring your own coffee for morning tea and to continue fellowship after services in one of the local cafes, parks or in smaller gatherings at home.

  • The Lord’s Supper will be served using pre-filled, single-use cups with wafers.

  • We will continue to encourage giving via online banking.

  • Observe general COVID guidelines, including washing hands thoroughly with soap and water, avoiding physical contact (e.g. handshakes, hugs, etc.), as per the NSW Health Department link below.

  • Enter toilets via Three Blue Ducks (i.e. avoid the Redemption Hill Kids’ space). Please ask Hospitality Team for directions.

parents with children

- Parents are welcome to have their children with them in church or part of Redemption Hill Kids.

- We understand that children, especially young children, are not able to physically distance. However, parents and Kid’s Leaders must endeavour to physically distance from children and other adults.

- Throughout the church service, families with babies and young children should make use of the kid-friendly creche area in the back corner of The Studio. We understand that young children will roam a bit in this area. Parents with older children should remain in their allocated seats.

- Parents should provide their children with their own toys, drinks and snacks. Avoid sharing food and toys with other children.

- Due to COVID restrictions, our kids’ space has a maximum capacity that must be observed. We cannot guarantee that there will be room for your child at Redemption Hill Kids.

- If your child has allergies or special needs, please inform the Kids’ Leader verbally at drop off and ensure these details are provided when you check-in.

- Our child protection policy requires that all children be checked-in each Sunday.

- Hand sanitiser will be provided when entering and exiting Redemption Hill Kids.

- Parents of children should not enter the Redemption Hill Kids’ space and must observe social distancing during drop-off and pick-up.
